The distance from Mumbai to Navi Mumbai is just 20 minutes. The bridge starts from Sewri in Mumbai and reaches Chirle near Nhava Sheva in Navi Mumbai.

The total length of the MTHL bridge is 21.8 km, of which 16.5 km is on sea and 5.5 km on land. The sea link will have 6 lanes.

The construction of this bridge started in the year 2018. This bridge was built by two companies Larsen and Toubro and Tata Projects.

The cost of this bridge is more than Rs 70 thousand crore. This project has been realized with the help of JICA, the financial institution of the Government of Japan.
